Job Overview

Masonry Superintendent – Lead Multi-Million Dollar Commercial Masonry Projects

You will take full ownership of high-velocity commercial builds, operating with total autonomy to lead massive masonry operations from layout to completion. This is a role for a seasoned expert who thrives in high-stakes environments and values a culture of trust over micromanagement. You will drive the success of a premier construction pipeline while enjoying structured, significant time off between major project milestones.

How You Will Make an Impact

1

Orchestrate all field operations for large-scale masonry builds, managing crews of 15–30+ personnel.

2

Execute complex building layouts and elevations independently to ensure 100% architectural accuracy.

3

Sequence daily work schedules and logistics for materials, grout, and scaffolding to maximize production.

4

Operate with a forward-thinking mindset, planning 1–2 weeks ahead on materials, manpower, and sequencing to prevent delays rather than reacting to them.

5

Manage highly motivated, production-driven subcontracted crews by positioning the right resources at the right time—working closely with the General Contractor to align sequencing, remove bottlenecks, and keep the job moving forward.

6

Interface directly with General Contractor superintendents to align on aggressive project timelines.

7

Uphold rigorous safety and quality standards while maintaining a high-speed workflow on-site.

8

Mentor and develop field foremen to expand the company’s leadership tier and operational capacity.

9

Deliver comprehensive daily digital reports to Project Management to track budget and schedule health.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7+ years of advanced experience in commercial masonry leadership.
  • Proven track record of running multi-million dollar masonry projects from start to finish.
  • Expert-level proficiency in reading blueprints, interpreting specs, and performing full-building layouts.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and own the job without day-to-day oversight or micromanagement.
  • Strong track record of planning ahead on materials, manpower, and sequencing while staying 1–2 weeks ahead of the job at all times.
  • Ability to make real-time field decisions under pressure while maintaining schedule, quality, and safety standards.
  • Experience managing and coordinating production-based subcontracted crews to maintain high output and efficiency.
  • Absolute commitment to a 100% travel schedule across the Southeast and Texas.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to manage long, demanding work weeks without oversight.
  • Ability to use Procore and other construction-related software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to lead diverse large-scale crews.
  • Extensive experience specifically within the big-box retail or Costco construction ecosystem.
  • High school diploma or GED.
